So before 2013, I barely got into much new music, maybe a band/singer once or twice a year. Then at the start of 2013 I took a chance on getting Carly Rae Jepsen’s music, and I loved her 2 albums and 1 e.p. Then came Nina Nesbitt who is now my 2nd favourite singer behind Taylor and this March, she became the first person I’ve seen in concert that isn’t Taylor Swift since 2007. Nina and Gabrielle Aplin were my favourite discoveries from 2013 and I realised how much good music there must be out there and I’ve allowed myself to get into more music and not worry about listening to anyone other than Taylor repeatedly. I’ve come across so many great albums to keep me satisfied until Taylors new album. Halfway through 2014, and I’ve already gotten into more music than I had during the entire  year of 2013. Here’s to new music! I can’t to see who else I end up becoming fans of. So far in 2014, CHVRCHES have become my favourite band, and Against The Current, who I accidentally came across, Kacey Mugraves, who I saw in June and The Pretty Reckless who I’ll now see in November have been great discoveries for me.
